Installation of a borehole and water tank
Marumba village is located at about four Km from Ruvuma River and is currently in a very serious water shortage. Few indigenous water sources found South-West and Northeast are either not reliable or give salty water.
The nearest reliable water source is Ruvuma River whereby its water is NOT safe.
There is surely increasing water demand at this village due to increased population each year. Thus, the successful drilling of water well at this village is important for sustainable growth of its population.
Availability of domestic water supply at reasonable distance will also save time and avoid villagers searching for water from Ruvuma and other traditional sources.
A ground water survey conducted by a professional to find potential drilling points was essential to progress in drilling a well and fixing the related pump. Jacqueline, I shall send you a PDF to publish, please create a link from the word survey.
The investigation – financed by ECA and TDT with 800€ – gave very satisfactory conclusions and selected three concrete drilling points.
Only one borehole will be drilled and very soon, you will know the exact location, implementation cost and realization time frame. Keep visiting this page and you will have all the details!
