Solar power at the dispensary
There is a critical problem of light and especially at night at Marumba dispensary, where the medical staff uses kerosene lamps and torches to help patients who come to seek services at night – mostly pregnant mothers in labour. As a result, the working conditions of health workers lead to a poor performance within the health services in the village.
The installation of solar power at the dispensary is the best way to solve the problem, as solar energy is the best type of reliable power in Tanzania where no main electricity exists. This project is starting now and will be realized before end of December 2015. 5,000 € is the global cost for installing 10 SOLAR panels in the dispensary.
